My Story

I recall clearly the day I took my first "herbal" class in Spokane. It was at Sun People Dry Goods, one of the first places in town that collected interesting things and people under one roof. Becky Kemery, (RIP) and David Kirchoff were the teachers, the subjects were Comfrey & Arrowleaf Balsmroot, we made oil, salve, tincture and tea, we dug up roots, chopped up dirty plants and talked about the complexity of the human body and a perceived state of balance, or lack there of. I was fascinated. I knew I was going to make herbal things, harvest plants and share them with the world.

Then I turned to my family, and my own self, creating what my mom would call Jessica's Potions for anyone that would take the plunge. Aches & Pains Salve was where it all began, and now it is an lifelong enjoyment of ever unfurling knowledge of something new. I love herbalism, plants, connecting people to Nature, empowering others through encouraging them to care for themselves and finally sharing knowledge with the hope that it truly improves the quality of life and inspires us to look differently at the surrounding Nature.
