In the Herbal traditions of Ayurveda, the Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners and in Western Herbalism there is an understanding of tissues states and energetics of plants. Matching the tissue state of an ailment and the constitution of the person, with the energetics of a plant, or combination of plants is crucial.
